Dr Kieran Nolan

Kieran Nolan carried out his PhD at York University, Toronto Canada. After completing his PhD in 1996 Kieran worked in both the pharmaceutical and packaging industry in Canada until 1998 when he joined DCU. In 2001 Kieran became an Associate Professor in the School of Chemical Sciences at DCU and was Head of School of Chemical Sciences at DCU from 2014-2018. Kieran Nolan’s research group has been intensively involved in the areas of environmental sciences and has specialised in the development of new chemoreceptors for sensing, composite materials and catalysts for application in waste water treatment.
