Dr. Nessan Kerrigan
Assistant Professor, School of Chemical Sciences, Dublin City University

Nessan Kerrigan carried out his PhD at University College Dublin. After completing his PhD in 2001, Nessan worked with Merck Sharpe & Dohme (Ballydine), and took postdoctoral research associate positions at the University of Glasgow (2002-2004) and University of Pittsburgh (2004-2006). He then joined Oakland University in Michigan as an Assistant Professor, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012.
In 2017 Nessan returned to Ireland and became an Assistant Professor in the School of Chemical Sciences at DCU.
Nessan Kerrigan’s group carries out research in the area of synthetic organic chemistry, particularly the asymmetric synthesis of pharmaceuticals.
