Helena is an associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Sciences (PBS) at RCSI. A registered pharmacist, she graduated with a BSc(Pharm) from TCD and subsequently undertook her PhD there in the area of drug delivery. She subsequently spent 9 years in the bio/pharmaceutical industry before returning to academia in RCSI in 2008 to focus on teaching and her research interests. She has acted as deputy head for programmes innovation in PBS and is a co-founder of a spin-out company, OncoLize, which is progressing the development of a patented technology invented in her lab.
