Sandra Lenihan is a graduate of the University of Limerick (BSc and PhD). Sandra has accumulated various pharmaceutical processing experience from her time spent with Eli Lilly, Astellas, ALTANA Pharma and Gilead Sciences prior to her appointment as Lecturer in Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Engineering in MTU Cork. Sandra is an active member of ISPE and IChemE. Sandra has been involved in educational initiatives which develop core engineering competencies through experiential learning and has a proven track record in leading and designing courses tailored to Industrial needs. Sandra’s research interests are developing predictive modelling for solid dosage pharmaceutical processes. Sandra was responsible for setting up and leading an innovative research group, PiERG in MTU Cork and has significant research expertise in industrial-academic pharmaceutical engineering collaborations.
