Angelini Ventures, the venture capital arm of Italian multinational Angelini Industries, has officially launched its first Asian office in Singapore. The office will serve as a regional hub for biotech and healthtech innovation, supporting collaboration with local startups and institutional partners.

The Rome-based firm manages €300 million in evergreen capital, targeting early-stage companies developing transformative healthcare solutions across biotech, digital health, and life sciences. Since its inception in 2022, Angelini Ventures has invested €125 million in 22 startups across Europe, North America, and now Asia. Its first Asian investment was Singapore-headquartered Nuevocor, which received US$45 million (€38.8 million) in Series B financing to advance gene therapy for genetic dilated cardiomyopathy.

The Singapore office will host the Angelini Ventures Global Intelligence Hub, an AI-powered platform that aggregates and analyses global healthcare and life sciences data to identify high-potential ventures. The office is led by Elia Stupka, an experienced life sciences executive and former genomics researcher, supported by a global team of scientists, doctors, and industry experts.

Angelini Ventures has established partnerships with Enterprise Singapore and AI Singapore to strengthen market access, accelerate fundraising, and support the commercialisation of biomedical and AI-driven healthcare innovations. A new venture programme, Espresso Lab, will provide selected Singapore-based startups with mentorship, business development support, and access to critical data and industry networks.

These initiatives are intended to scale innovative solutions globally, linking Singapore’s emerging biotech ecosystem with European expertise and investors. The collaborations also aim to enhance the region’s talent pool, supporting clinical translation, product development, and commercial readiness for high-growth ventures.
