Induchem Group Ireland has acquired Manufacturing Assembly Aid Systems Limited (MAAS), a Cork-based precision machine house serving the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, according to a company announcement.
Founded more than 30 years ago, MAAS provides manufacturing engineering services including design, product development, and the supply of machined parts and components. Approximately 50 per cent of the company's turnover is generated from the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, with additional clients across automotive, industrial automation, environmental, and food and beverage industries.
David Carroll, head of strategy at Induchem Group, said: "MAAS is an excellent strategic fit for Induchem Group. The company's technical expertise, strong customer relationships, and value-add engineered solutions align perfectly with our growth strategy. By combining MAAS's specialist capabilities with Induchem's mature sales and market approach, we see significant opportunities to expand further within Pharma, Biotech, Medical, and other high-growth sectors."
Under the new ownership, Induchem Group plans to leverage its established sales processes and market reach to further develop MAAS's service offering whilst continuing to invest in technical excellence and customer service.
Tadhg Hurley, managing director of MAAS, said: "This partnership provides us with the platform, resources, and commercial support to strengthen our sales capability, diversify into new growth segments, and accelerate our long-term growth ambitions."
MAAS will continue operating from its Cork facility with existing management and employees remaining in place.
Induchem is part of AxFlow Group, a Sweden-based specialist in fluid-handling equipment distribution for the chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical and environmental sectors, operating in 31 markets with €540 million annual turnover.
