Matt Moran, CEO of Matt Moran Consulting, has been announced as Judging Coordinator for the Pharma Industry Awards 2026, with winners set to be announced on 26th November at the Johnstown Estate Hotel. His appointment brings to the coordination role one of the most experienced and well-connected figures in Ireland's pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.

Matt holds a degree in Chemistry, a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration, a combination of scientific and commercial credentials that reflects a career built at the intersection of pharmaceutical science and strategic industry leadership. Before establishing his consultancy, he spent 12 years in chemical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, developing the operational and scientific grounding that has informed his work ever since.

The defining chapter of Matt's career was his three decades as founder and Director of BioPharmaChem Ireland (BPCI) at Ibec, Ireland's lead representative group for the biopharmachem sector. Over 30 years, he built BPCI into the authoritative voice for Ireland's biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, representing the sector's interests at national and international level across policy, regulation, talent, and competitiveness. His tenure spanned the full arc of Ireland's emergence as a globally significant pharmaceutical manufacturing location, giving him a perspective on the sector's development that is genuinely without parallel.

Throughout that period, Matt held numerous positions on international industry bodies, deepening his engagement with the global pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical community across regulatory affairs, research and development, and manufacturing policy. He now brings that accumulated expertise to his current roles as strategic advisor to Innoglobal and Innopharma.
