This collaboration recently saw UCC Master’s student Alex Bourrel complete a research project on the development of an analytical method for detecting multiple nitrosamines using GC-MS/MS, an essential technique in pharmaceutical quality control and safety assessment. 

Under the supervision of SGS experts, Alex gained practical experience with advanced analytical instrumentation while contributing to an area of increasing regulatory focus.

Through such academic collaborations, SGS connects emerging scientific talent with real-world challenges, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and best industry practices.
